Let's be honest, you don't always need to know about the Tudors or World War 2 or how to ask directions in French as an adult, but you do need to know about maths. Whether it's working out your change in a shop, understanding the interest rates on your mortgage or measuring up for a new piece of furniture, you need maths!
Private tutoring is a fast-growing, worldwide phenomenon, according to visual.ly. This seems to be down to a number of factors: the positive effects on a student, increased competition among students and lack of confidence in education in schools. Whatever the reason, the tutoring phenomenon is showing no signs of slowing down, either in the UK or abroad.
We all know how we feel when we haven't had enough sleep - whether we've been out having fun or up in the night with poorly or restless kids, the effects are the same. We're really not on top of our game the next day.
