Are you in year 13 and wondering what will happen if you aren’t awarded the grade that you hoped for?

There are so many students in the same boat as you but we thought we would put your mind at ease and explain your options!

Can you retake your A-levels?

The simple answer is yes! If you don’t get the grade that you want or need in the summer, you can retake (or take) your A-level exams at a later date. You can even redo the whole of year 13 if you would like to and if your school allows this; it’s something worth checking and considering if you don’t get what you need but still think you may need some structure to your learning.

How do I retake my A-levels?

Although you can’t sit the exams at INICIO, we can help with all of your work and revision towards the retakes. In order to resit your A-levels, you will need to register as a private candidate through the exam board website. Once you know which exam board you are studying, take a look at their website to find out more information about the resitting process: OCR, AQA, Edexcel and WJEC and Eduqas.

It’s important that you think about all of the options and, if you decide to resit your exams and are in need of a tutor for your retakes, we can certainly help :)
