Charlotte Bee
Charlotte will guide you and hold your hand right from your first contact with us; your INICIO journey is an important part of your family life and, for many of you, we will play a part over many years and for sibling after sibling, subject after subject. Throughout all of this, knowing that Charlotte understands your child, their goals, their availability, their level, their weaknesses, their rate of progress and everything in between means that you can feel secure and safe in her hands and know that she will schedule, communicate and liaise with tutors to make this aspect of your crazy life as smooth sailing and enjoyable as possible! She also teaches maths, English and French for us :)
Interesting fact: I was a keen hockey player at University, playing for one of the University teams. I also went to school in New Zealand for a term when I was in year 9.
Summed up in three words: Kind, friendly, approachable.
Interests/hobbies: I love visiting my family and friends in the Lake District and, when it’s not raining (which is rare!), going for walks up there. I also love food - particularly cake - and travelling to new places.
Why do you love INICIO? INICIO is a wonderful place to work and learn! The environment is perfect for students to come and study; it is unique, calming and welcoming, which helps make the students feel comfortable. Everything that INICIO stands for is something I believe in and we always strive to help students improve and build on their confidence - whether it's a small change or something big like jumping up a few grades. It's so lovely to hear when a student gets rewarded or recognised at school for the work they have been putting in outside of school; seeing how pleased the students are makes us feel very proud :)

Greta
Tutor in economics, politics, French, biology, maths and English
Interesting fact: I have seven dogs!
Summed up in three words: Chatty, hardworking, curious.
Interests/hobbies: Tennis, squash, running.
The three topics that students find difficult in your subject: In maths, probability problems that require probability trees. In English, picking judicious quotes and analysing in detail the layers of meaning. Students also tend to struggle with approaching creative writing questions and making sure that they use a range of sentence structures and punctuation. In economics, remembering how to draw all of the main diagrams, especially long-term growth and externalities diagrams.
Why do you love working at INICIO? I love seeing students build their confidence as we progress through their work! Being able to empower students and show them that they can achieve their goals makes me really happy and I love that I get to make a difference at INICIO. I especially enjoy teaching economics and politics, as the subjects are so applicable to the world around us.
